Most people who visit London Bus Routes are searching for timetable information. The TfL website has never included this to my knowledge, and although the raw data is present on its journey planner, it is not possible to obtain comprehensive information in a convenient reference format.
TfL has ceased producing any sort of timetable information, even for internal use (other than working timetables), other than for school services, coaches and some other peripheral routes. Those panel timetables (as used to be posted at bus stops) that are still current are available as PDF files on Mike Harris's Busmap site.
Timetables for First routes have been provided by their schedules departments for First London Timetables, and Metrobus provide full information on their official website. Although I am still able to obtain data at the present time from a number of sources, any additional assistance that can be offered will be greatly appreciated. Therefore If anyone has access to full timetables and is prepared to supply copies for use in this website, it would be greatly appreciated by myself and 1000s of visitors to this website if you could pass them on.
The precise format is not important. It would be preferable if the data is in an electronic format, but paper copies are also welcome – these can be scanned and processed using Optical Character Recognition combined with various validation and conversion routines.
Data will be presented in this format: note the disclaimer regarding buses not necessarily running on time. Only the actual times for public sections of journey will be published – any other working timetable information will be removed. All data will be processed by my assistant, so if your data has working information on it which you do not wish me personally to see, I will put you in touch with him and you can arrange to send it directly – he does not work in the industry, so this avoids any confidentiality issues.
All types of schedule can be included – the normal Monday to Friday, Saturday and Sunday are most important, but School Holiday, Boxing Day and any other special schedules are welcome.
