London Bus Services over Christmas and New Year 2021-22

The table below shows the general pattern of service for TfL bus services and Tramlink; there may be some further exceptions not listed below. Please note that this information does not apply to routes operated on LSP conditions.

Night services are shown before the corresponding day service, in line with the normal conventions on this site. Some day routes may have alterations to early and late journeys to co-ordinate with night routes.

All information should be regarded as provisional at present and will be updated as further information comes to light.

A Saturday service will operate, with the following exceptions:
Route 521 operates a reduced Monday to Friday service, every 10-12 minutes, finishing around 21:00.
Route X68 operates a reduced Monday to Friday service, every 20 minutes

In a few cases, last departures are substantially earlier than normal, and in most cases at least reduced running time means last buses are earlier at intermediate stops.
Routes 8, 15, 19, 25, 26, 27, 29, 38, 41, 55, 64, 86, 109, 133, 140, 205, 242, 417, 473 will finish earlier than normal.

Last journeys on 24 hour bus routes will generally depart between 2300 on 24 December and 0100 on 25 December. Exact times, where known, are on individual route HTML timetables.

Saturday 25 DecemberNo service on any TfL route. No service on any TfL route.
Sunday 26 DecemberNo service on any TfL route. A Sunday service will operate on most routes.
First buses on 24 hour routes will generally run by 06:00. For further details see individual route HTML timetables.
Route 8 starts later than normal towards Bow, with a reduced frequency until 0730.
Route 29 starts later than normal from Trafalgar Square: first bus 0640, then normal times.
Route 38 starts later than normal from Victoria: first bus 0605, then normal times.
Route 41 starts later than normal from Tottenham Hale: first bus 0505, then normal times.
Route 72 starts later than normal from East Acton: first bus 0627, then normal times.
Route 73 starts later than normal from Oxford Circus: first bus 0600, then normal times.
Route 105 runs at normal times, except that the 0445 and 0515 journeys from Greenford do not run.
Route 417 starts later than normal from both ends: first bus 0610 from Crystal Palace, 0645 from Clapham Common, then normal times.
Routes 14 19 operate an amended Sunday timetable with a reduced early morning service.
Routes 13 42 80 95 129 222 286 295 331 607 B12 H13 U4 operate amended Sunday timetables, mostly with only minor changes.
Monday 27 DecemberNormal Sunday night/Monday morning service.

Some 24 hour routes may operate a Saturday night/Sunday morning service.

Route 521 operates a reduced Monday to Friday service, every 10-12 minutes.
Route X68 operates a reduced Monday to Friday service, every 20 minutes.

There will also be some additional late night trips on routes:

Routes 2 3 414 operate an amended Saturday timetable.

Saturday 1 January Most routes operate a Saturday night/Sunday morning service. Note that weekend-only night routes are currently not operating due to Covid restrictions, unless listed below. Details of any enhancements to be confirmed.

Route 35 will run a split service.

Route N2 is withdrawn Victoria-Marylebone for most of the night, and runs an enhanced frequency.

There will be an additional overnight service on day routes:
